On PC, our launcher runs DK Game Protection. It checks your PC from the moment you sign in until you stop playing.
What it checks:
- The programs running: their names, file locations and file details.
- Programs attached to or loaded into the game, and debuggers (tools that inspect a running program).
- Whether the game files were changed.
- Python programs, for known bot scripts. It keeps a script's name and fingerprint only if it matches.
- Your PC's maker, model and BIOS name (never serial numbers; the virtual machine device code is explained below), so it can refuse to run in a virtual machine.
Virtual machines: the game will not start in a virtual machine unless an admin has approved that machine. To ask, run our DK HWID Checker (ask staff by ticket for it) and send us the device code it shows. The code is a one-way fingerprint made from the machine's firmware ID and Windows ID, and it cannot be turned back into either. The launcher compares it with our approval list on your PC and does not send it to us.
It does not open your documents, browser or messages. It does not read other programs' memory, and it installs no driver. Apart from your sign-in, update checks and the virtual machine approval list, nothing is sent to us unless it finds a cheat, a banned tool, a debugger program running on your PC, or an unknown program (one without a publisher signature) that can change the game's memory.
If it finds one:
- It takes five screenshots of your WHOLE screen on every monitor, not just the game, over about 8 seconds, and joins them into one picture. Anything visible will be in them, including chats and other windows. Close anything private before you play.
- It sends us that picture, the program's file name and fingerprint (hash), the time and the launcher version. The report signs in with your account name and password (checked, never stored). Our server compares the IP address the report came from with your game login, and keeps it if it bans that address.
- During play, the game closes once the screenshots are taken, after about 8 seconds. Before launch, the game will not start.
- Known cheat tools (today: Cheat Engine, GNTrainer, RF Helper64, RF Clicker and YOLO RF Helper) can get your account and your IP address banned automatically. Other reported detections go only to staff, with no automatic ban.
- If the game files were changed or a debugger is attached to the game, the game closes or will not start, and no report is sent.
- An IP ban blocks everyone on that connection. Computer shops, pisonet, school Wi-Fi, mobile data and VPNs are often shared. If an IP ban catches you by mistake, open a ticket in our Discord at any time.
Only staff see the screenshots. They are saved on our server for 30 days, then deleted the next time the server clears expired reports, so there is no fixed deletion date yet (backups may keep them a little longer). They are also posted in a private staff Discord channel, where they stay until staff delete them. They are never posted publicly.
If a known cheat tool is detected while you are in the game, our public Discord Bot/Cheat Detection channel may automatically show your character name, the time and the tool's name, marked "awaiting staff review". This can happen before staff have looked, and whether or not you were banned. It never shows your account name, IP address or screenshots.
An automatic ban starts right away. Staff then review it and either lift it or make it permanent. You can appeal (section 8). Trying to disable or fool game protection is itself a ban.
